Credit score simulator
Try your habits and watch which way a score moves and by how much. This is a teaching model with weights lenders cite, not your CIBIL score.

What this model does
TransUnion CIBIL names the factors that affect your score: repayment history, credit utilisation, the mix of secured and unsecured credit, the age of your accounts and how often you have applied for credit. CIBIL does not publish how much each one weighs. This simulator uses the shares lenders commonly cite, such as Axis Bank: payment history 30%, utilisation 25%, credit type and duration 25%, and enquiries and other factors 20%. It turns your answers into a number between 300 and 900 and shows a range, because the real model is not public.
Facts about your real score
- The CIBIL score runs from 300 to 900. CIBIL says any score above 750 is good.
- If you have never had credit, or only an add-on card, you get NA or NH: no score, which is not the same as a bad score.
- Checking your own score does not lower it. Applications to lenders create hard enquiries, which can lower it for a while.
- India has four credit bureaus: TransUnion CIBIL, Experian, Equifax and CRIF. Each must give you one free full report a year.
- Since January 2025 lenders update the bureaus every fortnight, so good habits show up sooner.

Questions
Is this my CIBIL score?
No. It is an educational estimate from a simple model. Get your real score from CIBIL, Experian, Equifax or CRIF; each gives one free full report a year.
How fast can a score improve?
Lowering utilisation can show within a reporting cycle or two. Late payments and defaults weigh on a score for years, so on-time payments matter most.
Why do I have no score?
NA or NH means there is not enough credit history to score you. A secured card against a fixed deposit, used lightly and paid in full, is a common way to start.
