Life certificate for pensioners 2026: last date 30 November and how to submit online

Central government pensioners can submit the annual life certificate from 1 to 30 November 2026, and those aged 80 and above since 1 October. How to do it with Jeevan Pramaan.

Every pensioner has to prove each year that they are alive so that the pension keeps coming. This is the life certificate. For 2026 the submission window for most central government pensioners opens on 1 November and closes on 30 November. Here is who can submit when, and how to do it from home.

Dates for 2026

State government pensioners and pensioners of other bodies follow the dates of their own pension authority, which can differ. Check with your pension disbursing bank or office.

Ways to submit

Steps to make a digital life certificate

  1. Install the Jeevan Pramaan Face app and the AadhaarFaceRD app.
  2. Enter your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID, and your mobile number.
  3. Enter your pension details: the Pension Payment Order (PPO) number, pension account number, bank, and the pension sanctioning and disbursing authorities.
  4. Complete the face authentication when the app asks.
  5. After this, a Pramaan ID is made. Note it down. You can use it to check the status and download the certificate from the Jeevan Pramaan portal.

Make sure your PPO number and bank account details are correct before you start, so that your bank can match the certificate to your pension.

What if you miss the date

Pension payments can be held back until the certificate is received and verified. The pension is not cancelled, but you may wait for the payment. If you cannot travel, the Jeevan Pramaan app lets you do it from home.

EPFO pensioners

Pensioners under the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) do not follow the November cycle. As reported by CNBC-TV18, their digital life certificate stays valid for 12 months from the day it is submitted. Check your EPFO pension office for the date that applies to you.
