Tata Neu HDFC credit card: claim your NeuCoins in the app from 25 November 2026
From 25 November 2026, Tata Neu HDFC Bank card holders must claim NeuCoins in the Tata Neu app. Unclaimed coins expire 12 months after the statement.
HDFC Bank is changing how NeuCoins reach you on its Tata Neu credit cards. From 25 November 2026, the coins you earn on card spends will no longer be sent to your Tata Neu account by themselves. You will have to claim them in the Tata Neu app. The change is on the bank's pages for the Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank credit cards, in a notice the bank updated on 21 October 2026, as Moneycontrol reported.
What changes on 25 November 2026
- Today: after each statement, HDFC Bank works out your NeuCoins and moves them to your Tata Neu account within 7 working days. You do nothing.
- From 25 November 2026: the coins stay with your card account until the primary card holder claims them in the Tata Neu app. Add-on card holders cannot claim them.
- A claim deadline: NeuCoins can be claimed for 12 months from the statement date in which they were earned. Coins not claimed in that time expire.
The earn rates do not change. The Tata Neu Infinity card still gives 5% back as NeuCoins on Tata Neu and partner Tata brands and 1.5% on other eligible spends, and 1 NeuCoin is still worth ₹1.
How to claim NeuCoins
- Log in to the Tata Neu app with the mobile number registered with HDFC Bank for the primary card.
- Open the NeuCard section.
- Tap "Claim NeuCoins" and follow the steps.
The closing NeuCoins balance on your latest statement becomes available to claim within 7 working days of the statement date. After you claim, it can take up to 7 working days for the coins to show in your Tata Neu account.
How long the coins last
There are now two clocks:
- Before you claim: 12 months from the statement date. HDFC Bank's example: coins in a statement dated 15 December 2026 can be claimed from 22 December 2026 at the latest, and until 14 December 2027.
- After you claim: the coins are valid for another 12 months in your Tata Neu account, counted to the end of the month. HDFC Bank's example: coins credited on 15 December 2026 are valid until 31 December 2027.
So coins you earn and claim quickly last about as long as they do today. Coins you forget to claim can be lost even if you never redeem anything.
What to do
- Make sure the primary card holder's Tata Neu login uses the same mobile number as the card. A different number will not show the card's coins.
- Set a reminder to claim after each statement, or at least every few months, so no statement's coins pass the 12-month limit.
- Use claimed coins on Tata Neu, BigBasket, Croma, Tata CLiQ, Tata 1mg, IHCL hotels and the other Tata brands that accept them, before they expire.
- If coins from a statement do not appear to claim after 7 working days, call HDFC Bank on 1800-25-8282-638.
