Axis Bank cuts free cash transactions from 4 to 3 and raises cheque return and minimum balance charges from 1 December 2026. See the old and new fees.

Axis Bank will revise the fees on some of its savings and salary accounts from 1 December 2026. The changes were reported on 29 and 30 October 2026 by The Economic Times, CNBC-TV18 and Times Now. We could not find the bank's own notice, so check your account type with Axis Bank before you act. Here is what was reported, with the old and the new rate.

All charges are exclusive of GST, which is added where it applies.

What you can do

Check which account type you hold, and how many times a month you deposit or withdraw cash at a branch. If you use all 4 free transactions, plan to move one of them to UPI or an ATM, or do fewer, larger cash transactions within the ₹1 lakh limit. If you are in a semi-urban or rural branch and your balance often dips below the required level, keep a cushion before the month ends. Compare this with other banks in our bank charges guide and the ICICI Bank change from 1 December.

The details can differ by account variant, so the bank's own fee schedule is the final word.
